Mariposa Cosmetics first launched on Instagram (mariposa.cosmeticz) in August of 2020 and was established + selling locally in Santa Barbara, CA. Since then we have grown into having a website where we ship nationwide! Our goal is to connect with anyone and everyone through our products. Mariposa Cosmetics is proudly Chicana-owned and aims to incorporate our culture into our products. Mariposa Cosmetics has been featured in the Santa Barabra News-Press, SBHS Forge, and the Independent.

WHO IS MARIPOSA?
Mariposa is a Chicana-owned business and I take pride in continuing to focus on Chicanx narratives within the beauty scene. Mariposa Cosmetics was created and is fully run by Emma Baltadano-Bañales (connect with me via LinkedIn!).

My brand took a slight online hiatus in 2023 and had only been doing occasional pop-ups around California. During this time Ipursued and completed my undergrad,earning a Bachelors of Art in Critical Race & Ethnic Studies, making me the first in my family to graduate with a B.A.! Mariposa Cosmetics is a one, full-time person ran business, and I appreciate your support and patience when it comes to shipping. Thank you for taking an interest in Mariposa Cosmetics!
